Investment Business Analyst

The incumbent is responsible for providing system and process support for investment staff, primarily for the location in which the position resides. To provide a high level of support, the incumbent will work closely with internal customers, other Investment Operations staff, and IT in the Appleton and Minneapolis offices.Position Roles/Responsibilities/Accountabilities Provide front-line system and process support for assigned business staff.
Partner with other Investment Operations staff to ensure consistent system utilization and processes throughout the investment department.
Partner with IT and other Business Analysts to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of shared vendor systems.
Interface frequently with customers to capture business priorities and ever-changing needs.
Participate on projects to implement new systems and processes and improve existing infrastructure.
Ensure the successful movement of key data through systems and processes.
Serve as a liaison to IT for development, implementation, and maintenance of assigned systems.
Develop relationships with external entities such as vendors and peers to keep current with technology and industry trends.
Partner with Reporting Analysts and IT to provide effective reports and efficient reporting methods.
Serve as system administrator for assigned systems as needed.Position Qualifications College degree in IT and finance, or equivalent work experience.
Ability to utilize end user tools of intermediate complexity for reporting (including light programming in Access and/or SAS).
Experience with data architecture and data modeling preferred.
One or more years of Investment system knowledge (Bloomberg, Factset, etc.) preferred.
At least one year experience working with IT on a variety of technologies in a corporate environment (desktops, servers, networks) preferred.Competencies Desire to learn and understand Investment business and processes

System and Data Vendors - Must foster a solid working relationship with vendors to promote efficient utilization of products, and effective vendor support.
