Inside Business Development Representative-WMC Mortgage Corp

Business Unit: GE MoneyFunction: SalesResponsibilities: The inside Business Development Representative sales group focus is on business development with mortgage brokers located throughout the eastern half of the United States. Our group will build relationships and originate loans from mortgage brokers that seek a streamlined relationship with a market leader. This is a telephone based position that works out of a central office in proximity to all service and operational support.*Responsible for sustaining monthly production.
*Conducts regular sales calls with existing and potential mortgage brokers to originate Sub Prime and Alt-A Wholesale loans.
*Serves as a liaison between operations personnel and the brokers to communicate the status on loans in process, clarify or requests additional information.
*Provides brokers with regular training about our loan products and programs and provides regular feedback on the performance of the business.
*Maintains comprehensive knowledge of WMC's loan programs, pricing, procedures, lending guidelines, and technological resources.
*Educates WMC's approved real estate loan brokers on WMC's loan programs pricing, procedures, lending guidelines, and technological resources.
*Maintains good relationship between WMC and the broker community.
*Provides primary communication with WMC approved real estate loan brokers.
*Solicits new broker relationships.
*Delivers clean, fundable loans to WMC's wholesale operations. Scrutinizes and evaluates documentation received from brokers for conditional acceptability and adherence to WMC's guidelines.
*Maintains productivity levels consistent with established company policies.
*Maintains professional, ethical, and courteous relationships with both external and internal customers.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: *High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum two years of Wholesale Mortgage Sales experience or an exceptional Retail background.
Proven track record of achieving loan production goals.
Working knowledge of sub-prime lending requirements and practices.
Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
Ability to interact effectively with the loan processing, underwriting staff, and funding staff.
Basic working knowledge of personal computers and "web" technology.
Exposure to mortgage-based software systems a plus.
Ability to develop strong customer rapport.
