Home Mortgage Manager

As a Home Mortgage Manager with U.S. Bank, you will:


Will be responsible for managing the credit quality (risk v. reward) of the Mortgage portfolio by analyzing performance against targeted objectives, developing profitability equations that maximize risk/reward trade-offs, and writing credit policy.

Participate in projects to improve the delivery of our products to customers.

Work closely with other professionals, including business line managers, operations managers, information technologists, as well as members of the senior management team.


Job Requirements
While we expect that you’ll possess a strong basic skill set, including excellent communication and people skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team or independently, we also require:


A BS in Finance, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related field and 8+ years of experience are required (MBA or MS with 5+ years experience is preferred).

Background in statistics and quantitative methods and familiarity with PC spreadsheet, word processing and database applications are a must.

Knowledge of statistical software such as SAS, SPSS, or FOCUS a strong plus.

Risk Management or Product Management experience with Prime, Sub prime, and/or Alt A Mortgage and Home Equity portfolios.

The ability to work in a dynamic environment and have the motivation to strive for continuous improvement.

A proven ability to work and thrive in a rapid-paced, team-oriented environment; who have the leadership skills to manage projects across multiple functional areas; and who have the drive to meet continual new challenges
