Group Manager (Security)
Hours: M-F 8AM to 5PM
Key Accountabilities
1. The Group Manager will support the implementation and administration of information security policies, practices, and procedures in order to ensure the protection of confidential information.
2. Responsible for managing and maintaining a team of information security analyst supporting FNN Affiliates, and subsidiaries.
3. Provide security consulting support in all areas of system security practices including Internet/Intranet/extranet, network operating systems (Unix, NT, zOS, etc), software development, network architecture and protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems (network and host-based), cryptographic technology, and secure communications.
4. Project management: scheduling, coordination, prioritizing, tracking. Provide technical solutions for system security requirements based on analysis of affiliate needs and industry trends.
5. Maintain customer-focused, process-driven, team-oriented environment.
6. Detecting and responding to security violations.
7. This position will assist IT staff and end users with technical problems and implementations relative to data and computer system access.
8. In addition to daily duties, the manager is responsible for various auditing tasks, involvement in project teams to ensure security compliance, and ongoing support and maintenance of the Security Policies and the Security Awareness program throughout Affiliates.
9. Responsible for Affiliate Information Incident Response Team (IIRT).
10. Present security status and project status to management. Respond to audit findings, and present remediation steps to management.
11. Present security challenges and resolutions to management.
12. Act as liaison between FNN information security and the affiliate communities.
13. Provide security consultation to the affiliates and recommend steps to mitigate exposure.
14. Create affiliate security project schedules and documentation.
15. Conduct formal affiliate risk assessment reviews to determine the critical points of business exposure.
16. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
1. Excellent communications and customer interface/relationship skills, as well as the ability to effectively coordinate and work with other departments.
2. Knowledge of applicable industry and Government standards as applicable to Information Protection and Assurance.
3. Candidates must have good practical experience in information security, and well rounded knowledge of information technology.
4. Candidates must have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
5. Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
6. One or more information security certifications highly preferred.
7. Prior experience with: Network security (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention), Vulnerability assessment/penetration testing, Logging, monitoring and reporting Encryption (network, application, database), Identity management, Strong authentication Web services security, Systems Security, Security Incident Management, Enterprise-wide IS policy and definitions.
