Full Job Title: GUI Developer (Java/J2EE - SIGDEV) Skills Management Title Embedded SoftwareJob Level: EXEMPTBusiness Component: Integrated Defense Systems (IDS)Job Description: The candidate shall have at least 8 years of credible experience designing, developing, updating, and supporting web based application development. Experience must include 3 years direct experience in design and development of Java based user interfaces. The candidate should have the following skills and experience: UNIX/XP hosted Java development environments (Eclipse, CVS, ANT); J2EE development experience using WebLogic 8.1 or newer; Significant experience working with the following technologies/protocols: HTML, XHTML, CSS, STRUTS, JSP 1.2, Servlet 2.3, XML/XSLT, AJAX/ JavaScripting, Tiles, DOM4J; Experience with Java Swing, Java Server Faces, Spring, Hibernate and related Java technologies, will be viewed favorably, but is not required; Demonstrated ability to work high priority, short duration tasks independently and with minimal direction; Ability to work in a semi-structured environment with dynamically shifting priorities and schedules; Domain knowledge a plus. Competencies Participate in design, development, testing, and support activities that may include: J2EE application development and updates; Requirements development/refinement through customer interaction; Writing and translating requirements into software specifications and designs; Design, development, troubleshooting, debugging, and implementation of software code singularly or as part of a team; Development and maintenance of interfaces; General Software Engineering support to TTO effort as needed; Participation in configuration management, testing, and related software engineering processes.Notes: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
