General Summary:
Responsible for all aspects involving the individual funding of interstate wholesale residential mortgage loans to support branch goals, as assigned. Performs all closing tasks to maintain data integrity and compliance of all company standards and legal requirements in timely fashion, with minimal errors.
Essential Duties:
Authorize the funding of wholesale mortgage loans upon verification and review of all documents; which includes thorough review of documents for proper execution and compliance, HUD-1 settlement statements in balance to wired amount, the signing off of funding conditions and data integrity of all loan files.
Verification of all documents and performing necessary calculations as form of review to complete an accurate and timely funding of Branch Wholesale mortgage loans
Ensure compliance to federal, state and investor requirements in accordance with the established company policies and procedures.
Remain current on all Finance America policies and compliance updates
Perform any necessary data entry functions related to the funding and/or document ordering process; including verification and recalculation of impounds, as applicable to each loan
Ability to understand and accurately recalculate or correct impound calculations
Timely follow up on any post-funding conditions to ensure delivery of closed loan for shipping within current established policy.
Develop constructive, positive working relationships with internal and external customers to ensure overall efficient work flow for department
Assist with ongoing training of Jr. Funders and Doc Prep staff, including impounds, and prioritization of workflow to meet overall department performance goals.
Communicate with Closing agents, Attorneys, Brokers and any other third party vendors along with Branch Operations in a consistent professional manner
Perform basic mathematical functions in all units of measure, including factoring of ratios & percentages
Ability to handle multiple tasks in an organized fashion during volume fluctuations and meet necessary overtime requirements
Maintain suitable records for any necessary follow-up or future reference to loan files
Self-motivation; requiring minimal supervision and ability to prioritize workflow
Ability to identify, comprehend and reason through issues with sense of urgency toward resolution and communicate effectively with all parties involved

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
2-5 years experience in mortgage lending with recent emphasis in loan closing and funding
Current knowledge of multi state lending, funding and compliance
Satisfactory computer literacy, with working knowledge of Word and Excel
Good aptitude for math and attention to detail for problem identification and resolution
Ability to handle multiple tasks and fluctuating volume on a daily basis to meet all goals and deadlines
Good organizational skills and time management to prioritize daily work flow
Excellent communication skills via telephone, emails, etc within established parameters
