As Financial Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for preparing financial statement disclosure templates submitted to parent company related entities as well as required regulatory and statutory reports (e.g. USAP, HUD) as assigned. Responsibilities will include a detailed review of the general ledger to identify and resolve data issues prior to final report generation. Participate in the special projects as needed.

Essential Accountabilities:
Assist in the preparation of RFC financial disclosure work papers / templates submitted to parent company.
Completes reporting disclosure checklists.
Recommend changes/additions to reporting requirements.
Recommend internal control processes for reporting.
As directed, prepare and coordinate information requests for parent company and external auditors.
Work with the business groups to implement new accounting disclosures.
Update desk manuals of procedures.
Assist with defining processes and procedures to develop managerial/external reporting packages.
Complete special projects so that they are documented and in accordance with appropriate standards and review process.
Assist with the definition and organization of data elements to automate the collection of reporting information.

Requirements:
BS / BA in Finance or Accounting
CPA preferred
2-3 years of work experience.
Financial Services and public accounting work experience preferred
Experience with SEC footnote disclosures for financial reporting a plus
Experience with preparation of annual reports preferred
Understanding of general ledger related to the financial services industry.
Understanding of mortgage-back security accounting/asset-back securitization transactions.
Excellent analytical and issue identification skills
Strong PC skills (Excel and Essbase)
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet deadlines
