Financial Reporting & Accounting Officer

Under the direction of the VP of Accounting & Reporting establishes, coordinates, and maintains an accounting system that properly reflects the financial position of the financial institution and provides financial consolidation of branches or subsidiaries by performing the following duties:

- Responsible for preparation of timely filing and accurate submission of required regulatory reports.

- Responsible for completion and accuracy of monthly financial statements.

- Ensures accuracy of monthly tax computation, tax regulations and all information provided to a third party for tax return preparation. Advises management of desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions.

- Responsible for preparation of audit workpapers and completion of audit report.

- Ensures that the financial institution’s accounting procedures are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

- Prepares exam schedules. Monitors implementation and follow through of activities.

- Implements tax reporting programs.

- Works in collaboration with VP of Accounting & Reporting and VP of Finance & Risk Management and others on assigned projects.

- Other duties may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Financial Accounting from four-year college or university with a CPA and four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
