Independently executes assigned audit and change initiative activities. Implements audit strategy for the sound application of risk based practices. Exercises judgment and influences business partners. Utilizes sound, seasoned, analytical skills and product/business/technical expertise to execute assigned responsibilities. May monitor the work of other associates and/or provide training.

 

Specific requirements include understanding Corporate Audit's role and accountability; providing leadership for projects and team activities; developing audit scopes and audit programs by analyzing product/process risks and evaluating controls; completing audit work and documentation timely; verbal and written communication of audit findings to management; promote and influence sound risk management practices with business partners; identifying/escalating/updating significant issues; adopting and incorporating Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
REQUIREMENTS


Required SkillsBachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field. Experience (4+ years or relevant experience) in financial services and banking from the perspective of internal audit, product control, operations or risk management. Ability to understand and analyze the risks and controls within business processes.  Knowledge of front, and back office controls, risk management techniques, and compliance requirements. Ability to converse with management on all levels regarding controls, infrastructure, risk management and accounting.

 

Desired SkillsBroad exposure to financial services and banking in order to provide value in cross-functional audits.  Advanced degree (MBA) or CPA a plus.
