Fiduciary Attorney

SunTrust Bank is currently seeking a Fiduciary Attorney in either our Atlanta, GA or Orlando, FL office. This person will serve as internal fiduciary counsel and provide legal advice, opinions and research to the Wealth & Investment Management line of business in Florida. This person will also participate in establishing new products, services, policies and procedures for the Wealth & Investment Management group as well as reviewing and influencing Florida legislation affecting the Wealth & Investment Management line of business.
REQUIREMENTS
The qualified candidate will have the following experience: >7+ years experience working in a mid- to large size law firm in the trusts and estates practice group. >Extensive experience and understanding of estate planning documents, >Extensive experience and understanding of estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax issues and fiduciary personal income tax issues, >Extensive experience with Florida estate and trust administration and Florida fiduciary laws, >Understanding of Florida fiduciary investment duties, >Understanding and experience with Florida fiduciary litigation matters, >Understanding of federal tax laws and Florida law regarding tax-exempt organizations, >Understanding of Individual Retirement Account tax laws, and >Extensive experience in negotiating and preparing settlement, release and indemnification agreements. >Well developed organizational skills and the ability to react quickly in a fast paced and high volume environment. >Project oriented and leadership skills. >Ability to work with various individual personality types and the maturity to sometimes work in stressful situations. >J.D., licensed to practice law in Florida (or a willingness to take the Florida bar exam), exemplary academic background.
