FT Real Estate Servicing Manager

Due to our growth and expansion, we have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Real Estate Servicing Manager in our Real Estate Department.

The successful candidate will oversee the loan servicing functions for the Credit Union’s mortgage portfolio. These functions include: mortgage and home equity closings, secondary market sales and reporting, tax payments, mortgage insurance, and homeowner insurance tracking. This will include ensuring all real estate loans are serviced to the standards established by the Credit Union and any/all outside investors. Ensuring Servicing area’s compliance with department and Credit Union policies and procedures and federal and state regulatory requirements. Oversees the sale and delivery of loans into the secondary mortgage market, ensuring adequate and timely collection of tax payments and mortgage insurance payments. Serves as liaison and effectively communicates with attorneys, title companies, tax service vendors, mortgage insurance vendors and collateral protection insurance vendor. Oversees the portfolio of construction loans, including monthly billing, payments, loan advances, liens, title issues and any other related issues. Work closely with the Collection Department for delinquent mortgages or construction loans, including foreclosures. Responsible for annual required reporting of members’ Escrow Analysis statements, preparation of members’ 1098/1099 Tax and Interest Reporting Statements, and reporting mortgage tax and interest to the IRS and applicable states.

The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 8:00a.m. - 5:00p.m. Flexibility to work additional hours including evenings and Saturdays as needed is required.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree in business, accounting or related field or equivalent experience required. Must have a minimum of five years servicing experience in a mortgage-lending environment and a minimum of three years management experience in the mortgage or financial services industry required. Must have extensive knowledge of secondary market loan servicing and sales, mortgage servicing application software systems, preparation of legal documents for mortgage closings, and ability to effectively supervise staff and projects. Must possess excellent PC skills as well as excellent written and verbal skills. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
