FT Lead Manager of Property & Casualty Insurance

Due to our growth and expansion, we have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Lead Manager of Property and Casualty Insurance in our Poughkeepsie location.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for all aspects of providing Property and Casualty Insurance to Credit Union membership through Cuserve. Act as liaison with the Cuserve Board for all aspects of Property and Casualty Insurance offerings at the Credit Union, with accountability for compliance, sales tracking and accounting oversight functions of Property and Casualty product line through regular monitoring, analysis and trend reporting. This will include working with all areas of the Credit Union including branches, lending and Investment Center to offer additional products in a relationship based environment while promoting the Credit Union’s sales and service culture by demonstrating the knowledge and skills acquired through training courses. In addition, this position will develop and implement a business plan for property and casualty business line consistent with HVFCU’s sales and service culture, build and generate an ongoing and profitable book of business by focusing on the needs of our members and utilize professional and personal contacts to develop non-member business opportunities. Coordinate all Property and Casualty Insurance services with the third party insurance vendor, BIS. Develop, implement and monitor marketing and sales campaigns for all Property and Casualty Insurance at the Credit Union. Perform all duties associated with insuring that the Property and Casualty team is compliant with the New York State Insurance Department, NCUA and all other applicable regulatory agencies and laws. Ensure Property and Casualty Department profitability through the development of relevant, contemporary goal tracking and motivational incentive programs. Monitors, analyzes and maintains knowledge of developing trends and changes in regulatory laws, rules and regulations, and advises branch and department managers.

The work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with flexibility to work additional hours including evenings and Saturdays as needed is required.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required with a Masters degree strongly preferred. 8 – 10 years of industry experience required, preferably within a banking or credit union environment. Previous management experience required. Active Property and Casualty Insurance Brokerage License is required. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
