FSS Acct, GL Entries and Reconciliation

Manage the workflow of journal entries and supporting documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy of data. Ensure checklist of entries, i.e., manual, recurring, reversing, inter/intra company, statistical, importing, etc are posted in proper periods. Ensure accruals, depreciation, allocations, adjustments and reclassification of costs are made in accordance with GAAP. Communicate with business units the addition or change of journal entry activity. Provide financial analysis of accounting data. Review and approve monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and any corrections/adjustments needed to the general ledger. Respond to questions/issues from the internal/external auditors, tax department and business units. Review data used in the Balance Sheet review and annual 10K. Upload financial data into the Hyperion consolidation system. EEOJob Requirements
Job Description - Education – Two-year Accounting degree, plus 3-5 years Accounting experience in a multi business unit environment. Experience – Proficient at using Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong analytical skills. Additional Information - Very knowledgeable of software applications as they relate to the General Ledger and supporting systems. Exposure to financial reporting tools.
