Responsible for ensuring that all tax reporting requirements are complied with in an accurate and timely manner. Key Accountabilities: Overall responsibility for tax results, amounts reported in tax returns and tax amounts in financial statements. Responsible for review and sign-off of federal and state income tax returns. Responsible for review and sign-off of income tax related financial statement footnotes and other disclosures, tax amounts in financial forecasts and cash flow projections. Directly review and coordinate the tax accounting and compliance work. Ensure that federal, state, and foreign tax audits are managed appropriately, provide resources and assistance as needed. Ensure that accounting is provided tax related information accurately and timely as needed. Ensure that all tax related systems are implemented and managed effectively and efficiently, providing resources and assistance as needed. Ensure that all procedures are drafted and implemented in accordance with SOX requirements. Performance Measures Achieve target for accuracy/quality and timeliness of tax department deliverables (accounting information, tax returns, tax payment amounts, taxing jurisdiction audit defense). Satisfaction of accounting with tax support. Achieve targets for efficiency and effectiveness by achieving target completion dates for every category of deliverables. Internal customer perception of tax competency.

REQUIREMENTS
Ten years of experience in technical income tax and tax accounting. Proven team leadership and people management experience within a tax department. CPA certification is required. Big four accounting experience a plus. FAS 109 technical skills, including the operational application to tax accounting reporting requirements. Working knowledge of tax department software and accounting systems, primarily as they relate to data interfaces into tax department systems. Ability to manage people and build quality teams. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to identify opportunities for change, to design solutions and to lead in implementation. Ability to manage and train experienced tax professionals.
