External Wholesaler
Vanguard, one of the world's largest investment management companies, seeks an experienced External Wholesaler to conduct prospecting activities that will develop new intermediary business and broaden existing relationships in an assigned market segment and specific territory; these intermediary channels include registered investment advisers, trust institutions, broker-dealers, and insurance companies.
Your primary goals are to effectively position Vanguard's investment products and related services and to deliver key marketing messages through targeted prospecting activities that include cold-calling, direct mail campaigns, meetings and seminars, and attendance at national and regional industry conferences. You'll be expected to achieve sales and sales-activity goals while adhering to Vanguard's Code of Ethics.
To establish and deepen relationships, you should thoroughly understand the investment philosophy, client base and product preference of each adviser/organization. You should also maintain expertise on the capital markets, investment management industry, and marketplace developments. Using your expertise, client intelligence and product knowledge, you'll act as a trusted adviser/consultant in matching needs to Vanguard products and services.
