Due Diligence Manager-ABS Home Equity/Residential Mortgages

By combining your talent and our strengths, we can acheive great results.The UBS Investment Bank ABS Home Equity/Residential Mortgage Trading Desk's Transaction Management Group is looking for a Due Diligence Manager to participate in the purchase, sale, securitization and administration of residential mortgage loan portfolios. Responsibilities include assisting the ABS Home Equity/Residential Mortgage Trading Desk and the rest of the Contract Finance group in a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:? Manage various aspects of the mortgage loan due diligence process involving third-party service providers and internal MBS and ABS staff to assess credit, regulatory compliance and collateral risk of loans underlying whole loan settlements and securitizations ? Provide exceptional customer service for whole loan and securitization transactions from inception to completion? Work closely with Trading and Transaction Managers to ensure risks are congruent with UBS underwriting philosophy? Responsible for management of a network of vendors and service providers? Work with mortgage insurance providers, monoline insurers, and rating agencies regarding the credit quality of underlying collateral? Develop and maintain underwriting guidelines for flow production of Sub-prime risk types ? Solid knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC underwriting guidelines ? Manage enhancements to the existing workflow management system which processes and records due diligence orders, and creates trade calendars, etc.? REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications: Undergraduate Degree
A minimum of three years credit experience
Formal credit training preferred
Deal management experience required
Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
Possess knowledge of various product risks within Subprime collateral
Knowledge of federal, state and local predatory lending laws and the impact on mortgages
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong PC skills.
Proficient in Excel and database tools
