Over 25 years, the NHS/ MHN network has become Montana’s leading community-based partnership devoted to neighborhood revitalization of historic Great Falls and the creation of quality affordable housing options for hard-working Montanan families. Since 2003, staff has tripled to 25 members based on increased demand for NHS/ MHN services statewide. Last year, the Montana HomeOwnership Network received its own charter from NeighborWorks America. The Montana network currently has two (2) senior leadership opportunities under recruitment, one providing senior financial leadership as the (NHS) Director of Finance & Accounting, and the other a statewide leadership position managing the expansion of lending operations and housing development as the (MHN) Director of Housing & Lending Operations. Both positions will report to the Executive Director, serve on the Executive Management Team, and are based in Great Falls MT. REQUIREMENTS
AS THE SENIOR FINANCIAL MANAGER, THE NHS ‘DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING’ WILL OVERSEE $9 MILLION IN ASSETS AND SUPERVISE FUND ACCOUNTING, REPORTING, AND FINANCIAL SERVICES: · Serves as strategic financial advisor relative to NHS/ MHN’s financial position; responsible for budgets; cash receipts, management and forecasting; bank relationships and reconciliations; financial statements and reporting; audits; grant and legal compliance and reporting; construction / project cost analysis; risk management. · Supervises accounting, loan sales, and payroll staff; supports management team in budget and project tracking systems. · Advances timely, integrated information systems including financial reporting using MIP accounting software. · Works with Executive Director and board to maintain a strong, financially stable organization through resource development, revenue diversification, cost efficiency, effective investment and leveraging of resources, and sound risk management. · Proven leadership and supervisory experience with strength in business, fund accounting, and technology systems. · Relevant accounting/ finance degree required; CPA a +; Exposure to real estate lending and/or development very helpful. AS THE SENIOR MANAGER STATEWIDE, THE MHN ‘DIRECTOR OF HOUSING AND LENDING OPERATIONS’ WILL DEVELOP NEW LOAN PRODUCTS, MANAGE PARTNER RELATIONS, SERVICE DELIVERY, LENDING AND HOUSING DEVELOPMENT IN TANDEM WITH LOCAL PARTNERS: · Serves as key relationship manager to 23 local partners engaged in homebuyer education/ counseling; Manages expansion and implementation of additional housing options related to lending, manufactured housing, owner rehab, rental housing. · Supervises 4 staff in Great Falls and coaches/ coordinates implementation with partner staff statewide. · Works with managers and staff to create timely, integrated tracking reports on program services and development projects. · Proven leadership and supervisory experience within mission-driven nonprofit engaged in homeownership and affordable rental; strong business, lending and/or development experience; customer service; fund-raising and grant-writing a +.
