Position Summary

Located in Lake Jackson, Texas, Texas Dow Employees Credit Union is in search of a service driven leader for the position of Director, Branch Administration. This individual will be responsible for coaching and mentoring the branch management team and staff, and providing all the tools necessary to ensure TDECU’s branch environments are offering exceptional service. The successful candidate will evaluate, monitor and report on the effectiveness of service initiatives, have a hands-on approach, and will interface with all disciplines within the credit union to exceed organizational service goals and objectives.



Credit Union Profile

Texas Dow Employees Credit Union (TDECU), chartered in 1954, began operations in January of 1955. After one year in operation, TDECU had 698 members and $34,163 in assets. The credit union's ensuing 50 years have seen incredible growth in members, assets, products and services. Today, TDECU is the largest locally-owned financial institution along the Texas Gulf Coast with assets over $1 billion and more than 93,000 members. The credit union has a network of 12 branches, in Lake Jackson, Angleton, Brazoria, Cuero, Houston, La Porte, Seadrift, Texas City, Victoria and Victoria Mall. With the exceptional growth TDECU is having they are planning to open five to ten more branches within the next five years.



Community Profile

Lake Jackson, a planned community of Brazosport-Southern Brazoria County, is comprised of several neighborhood communities and has a population that nears 70,000. Home to Brazport College, Sea Port Texas, wilderness sites and archeological sites, Lake Jackson is a community that blends the past with the present. The city was founded and developed by the Dow Chemical Co. as a housing project for its employees during 1941-1942. It was named for a small lake in the vicinity of a plantation owned by Major Abner Jackson before the Civil War. By 1954, Lake Jackson was large enough to vote for a Home Rule Charter and it continues to grow today. The community of Lake Jackson is 10 miles from the coast and conveniently located 50 miles south of the Houston metropolitan area and 60 miles from the scenic town of Galveston Island.



Compensation

A compensation package consisting of base salary and benefits will be structured to meet the needs of the right candidate.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will be results-oriented and will have a proven ability to enhance membership satisfaction within a multi-branch infrastructure. Bachelor’s degree and five plus years of experience managing multiple branches required.
