As the Director of Consumer Credit Risk Oversight, you will work closely with the Managing Director and the Credit Policy and Credit Risk Management team. The Director provides governance and oversight over consumer credit risk models and forecast methodologies, and establishes and monitors limits on the consumer credit risk retained by the firm.

Essential Accountabilities:
Defining and recommending to the CCRC (Consumer Credit Risk Committee), portfolio credit risk limits
Devising stress scenarios and establishing the analytics and standards required to monitor RFG’s retained risk portfolio against articulated limits.
Defining and managing the limit breach escalation process.
Vetting and approving the models and assumptions applied in asset valuation, allowance, and provisioning methodologies when the intent is to support the firm’s financials or to manage risks.
Includes models or methods that derive assumptions for discount rates, interest rate scenarios, house price scenarios, or consumer behavior
Establishing requirements and standards for the analytics required to inform the financials and value assets.
Vetting results of benchmarking and 3rd party valuations
Communicating to senior management the status of the consumer credit risk profile by monitoring key performance metrics as defined by the RFG Financial Risk and Executive Committees.
Establishing, managing / monitoring a credit VaR process, and propose and reviewing credit risk capital factors.
Requirements:
PhD economics, econometrics, finance, or mathematics preferred; masters degree with appropriate professional experience acceptable.
5+ years of experience in credit risk modeling, risk management, or credit policy.
Familiarity with market, credit and operational risk analytics; ability to develop consultative relationships; excellent technical writing and communication skills.
