Deposit Relationship Manager

As a Deposit Relationship Manager with U.S. Bank, you will:


Be responsible for managing and growing a deposit and treasury management portfolio within the Commercial Real Estate Division.

Drive the sales process by creating the focus and managing the sales activities of the commercial real estate market team(s) that is directly supported.

Prospect for and close new business relationships and retain and expand relationships with existing customers.

Possess and effectively use a broad range of product knowledge including deposit services, treasury management and investments.

Co-manage relationships with Commercial Real Estate Credit Relationship Managers.

Grow revenue as directed by senior management.

Plan and execute sales activities including sales calls, proposal preparation and presentations.

Analyze financial information including account analysis of existing and potential customers.

Recommend product and service solutions based on analysis of customer data.

Coordinate sales solutions into a sales plan for a customer/prospect.

Monitor customer accounts to detect changes affecting relationships.

Input data and manage the deposit/treasury management pipeline within the context of a broader sales management system.

Prepare and input data into a profitability management system for analysis of customer relationships.

Manage periodic projects such as Annual Exception Review, OBP code changes, etc.

Oversee implementation of new relationships to ensure all components are set-up and functioning to customer’s satisfaction.

Acts as focal point for customers for all non-lending products.

Acts as escalation point for any customer servicing issues.

Act as liaison between Commercial Real Estate group and other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements
While we expect that you’ll possess a strong basic skill set, including excellent communication and people skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team or independently, we also require:

A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years’ commercial deposit and/or treasury management experience is common.

Strong relationship management and business development abilities, well-developed analytical and problem solving skills, strong sales skills, and an extensive knowledge of deposit and treasury management applications.

A broad knowledge of bank products and services that results in successfully capitalizing on all opportunities while cross-selling the Bank’s products.

The ability to work independently and effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage customer relationships.

Well-developed written communication and verbal presentation skills.
