Customer Service Representative - Floating

Venture Bank currently has a vacancy for a Customer Service Representative for King County. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday with the possibility of Saturday assignments. The position is responsible for processing a variety of customer account transactions; providing prompt, courteous and friendly service; and suggesting back services as appropriate. It requires an incumbent with excellent customer service skills; the ability to provide sales and service to customers, and the accurate handling of currency, coin and other negotiable instruments.Basic Function
Process a variety of basic customer account transactions providing prompt, courteous and friendly service and suggesting bank services as appropriate. Accountable for receiving customer paying and receiving transactions.Reports To: Financial Center ManagerResponsibilities
Accept deposits according to standard operation procedures.Cash various types of negotiable instruments including checks and savings withdrawals.Count, sort, and package currency and coin.Make change, fill cash orders when requested.Balance transactions and cash daily.Accept loan payments, bank by mail, and process night depository deposits.Adjust minor problems or complaints, answer requests for routine information and direct inquiries.Sell and redeem Series E and EE savings bonds, money orders, cashiers checks, and travelers checks.Balance Automatic Teller Machines.Miscellaneous filing.Perform other duties as assigned.Accountability
Maintain a high level of confidentiality of all information.Organize workload and accomplish duties in a timely manner.Provide professional, friendly, timely, and thorough assistance to customers.Work independently while working as part of a team.Take responsibility to identify, initiate, organize, and accomplish tasks related to area of responsibility with limited supervision.Cross sell products and services to customers.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
One year banking experience and familiarity of bank operational policies and procedures.Excellent public relations/customer service skills.Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with the public and other employees.Ability to handle currency and coin and various negotiable instruments with accuracy.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Ability to cross sell bank services.Ability to access and operate computer terminal.Typing and filing skills.Ability to work as a part of the team at Venture Bank.Benefits
