We are currently adding a Customer Service Rep I in the Bill Pay department in our Portland, OR location. If you are a team player, and want to be part of a dynamic, growing organization that rewards talented, enthusiastic individuals who are looking to excel and make a difference, this may be an opportunity for you.The responsibilities for this position include:•Provides high quality support to financial Institutions and their customers for the Bill Payment products supported in Portland through the accurate processing of merchant verification requests and appropriate responses.•Assists in increasing the percentage of payments sent electronically versus check delivery•Suggests ways to improve service levels and Bill Payment processes.•Interacts with various functions within Bill pay to ensure customer merchant requests are handled appropriately and in a timely manner in accordance with department procedures and policies.•Performs additional duties and special assignments as required.•Position involves varied work situations which conform to set procedures. Job involves a moderate level of complexity/difficulty. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.•Position operates independently with moderate supervision. Work is not normally verified or checked by another. Errors in work could result in loss of profit, loss of customers, and negative reflection to customer’s accounts with merchants, and poor company image.
REQUIREMENTS
•College degree preferred, High School Diploma required. 1-2 years customer service experience preferred.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary.•Data Entry skills required.
•Ability to listen carefully and apply learned skills in a timely and effective manner.•Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills required.•Dependability is essential•Computer (PC) knowledge is required.
