Credit Analyst I

Assists Relationship Managers by providing analytical support. Analyzes a variety of commercial or real estate loan requests. The primary focus is on providing basic analytical functions relating to due diligence, document processing, financial/statistical analyses related to transactions, credit approval and ongoing monitoring of closed transactions. Assists Relationship Managers with handling small to median size loans with moderate complexity. Enters financial statements and related information to financial spreadsheets software programs for analysis. Analyzes all financial data related to new and renewal commercial or real estate loan requests. Provides information to Relationship Managers and offers an opinion concerning client's credit worthiness. Prepares summary and/or credit approval reports documenting credit analysis and supporting information for credit decision recommendations. At this level, colleagues are still developing basic commercial banking knowledge and all of their activities are related to financial and credit analysis.Job Requirements

Up to 2 years of directly related experience required that may include time spent in a formal credit-training program.
Requires a thorough knowledge of appropriate banking laws, regulations and bank policies and practices.
Knowledge of credit, accounting, credit policy and financial statement analysis required.
Excellent analytical skills required.
Excellent ability required to analyze credits, as well as a detailed knowledge of lending structure and sources and uses of cash.
Strong organizational skills required.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required.
