The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team works with our business units to ensure that Ernst & Young's community engagement (volunteerism and charitable giving) embodies best practices and demonstrates Ernst & Young's public purpose in ways that are connected to our business. The CSR team also works with service lines and national departments to pursue opportunities to integrate leading socially responsible thinking and action into all aspects of our business. Projects/programs that the team leads range from the launch of the eyvolunteers.com website to the pilot of the EY Social Responsibility Fellows program to creating a non-profit board training program. The CSR Senior Project Manager leads multiple medium to high complexity CSR projects underway throughout the firm by planning, implementing and managing day-to-day activities, gaining a reputation as the ""go to person"" for CSR projects. . This individual has working knowledge and experience of CSR as well as internal firm process and services. This position requires the ability to apply demonstrated techniques of project management with limited direction from others as well as take on significant ownership of most aspects of the project.Responsibilities: Work closely with project owners to understand the goals and approach for the project Align medium complexity projects with firm and CSR strategy Exhibit advanced understanding of scope, schedule, planning, and good understanding of time management, resource management, communication management, & cost management Use project management methodology and tools to develop and maintain project plans for medium complexity projects (including key milestones, action steps, resources, and budget if necessary); Plan and assign resources to associated tasks and deliverables as appropriate; Manage resources and tasks based on project plan to ensure quality and consistency Identify risk, cost, resources, and dependencies; Know when to involve/escalate to others Collect, analyze and summarize (often new and complex) information/background research required to support the project Create and maintain pre-defined project documentation (reporting, meeting minutes, PowerPoint presentations, talking points, rollout materials etc.) for medium complexity projects Motivate other team members and ensure collaboration/knowledge-sharing Develop and maintain relationships with project stakeholders; Manage project stakeholder expectations; Communicate issues and project status to project stakeholders; Explain difficult issues and work to establish consensusErnst & Young LLP, an equal opportunity employer, values the diversity of our work force and the knowledge of our people.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: 4-5 years demonstrated project management experience Some prior experience with and interest in CSR concepts, definitions, best practice and related issues, preferred Demonstrated ability to manage multiple medium complexity projects with limited direction from others and be a collaborative team-player Compelling verbal and written communication skills including experience presenting to internal and external groups Working understanding of the firm's strategy, processes and programs Demonstrated ability and willingness to take initiative; strong sense of “ownership” for project-work and other assignments that leads to going “above and beyond” Comfort in a rapidly changing environment with competing and shifting priorities; Mental flexibility to adjust quickly based on new information; Willingness to work on a majority of new (rather than ongoing) projects
