Consumer Loan Processor

Volt Services Group has an opening for a Consumer Loan Processor in Palo Alto.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:Prepare consumer loans for review by credit analyst. Obtain state specific DMV documents to secure collateral. Prepare loans for funding by determining loan terms, payment method, and payment amount with members. Ensure all loan conditions are met prior to funding loans. Speak to members regarding loan decisions, including declined loans and counteroffers while explaining decision in detail. Understand how to read and interpret credit reports. Have general understanding of underwriting process. Understand federal and industry regulations, as well as loan policy and guidelines.
80% of the time you will review consumer loan application packets for completeness. Confirm loan request is within policy/guidelines. Notifies member of loan decision and conditions to be met prior to funding. If loan is declined, explains process to order credit report. Obtains state specific DMV documents or other collateral needed to secure the loan, prior to funding. Reviews the terms, rate, payment method, and payment amount with member, as well as gathering information to input loan allocation on the OSI system. Works closely with the loan analysts to gather information, and documentation needed to make sound loan decisions. Produces disclosures needed and has member sign prior to loan disbursement. Ensures member receives funds in a timely manner, by Federal Express, US Mail or deposit directly into share account. Works Saturday car sales quarterly, and assists members with the purchase and financing of company-cars.
10% of the time you will troubleshoot lost loan checks, member issues, and handles special requests. Recommends actions to loan analyst or manager when transactions have material financial impact to the credit union. Implements procedural changes. Suggests ways to improve service delivery time to customers. Provides feedback to the manager on procedures that need to be written or updated.
Another 10% will be keeping abreast of loan products to offer members, such as MBP, Debt Protection, and GAP insurance. Obtains proper documents, and deposits fees for products sold into correct Addison Avenue Financial Partners' accounts. Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma
You must have 2-3 years of experience with the Indirect Lending channel including funding loans.
Must be able to pass a 7 year felony and misdemeanor background check, credit check, and Bondability check.
