Consultative Sales – Investment Research

An extremely successful NYC based research firm is growing exponentially and seeks a senior candidate to focus on selling the company’s research products and services to the investment community. The Company is a leading provider of independent primary research services to hedge and mutual funds.

This individual would be responsible for initial sales with institutional money managers and/or hedge funds. This would mean meetings with buy-side prospects, explanation of the company’s business and signing these institutions as new clients. This individual would be also responsible for maintaining a relationship with those clients, increasing revenue by working the sectors and stocks that they care about, proactively introducing consultations and relevant ideas.Job Requirements

Candidate with a sales background, good academic credentials; MBA not required, but helpful

Must have understanding of process sale; lead generation to meeting to close

Aggressive and professional

A background, preferably, and understanding of the “buy side” A strong sales background preferably in the institutional element arena

5-10 years related experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
