The proposed merger with Golden West Financial Corporation (NYSE: GDW), parent of World Savings Bank, is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2006, pending shareholder and regulatory approval. With this proposed merger, Wachovia would strengthen its position in California, Texas, Florida, New Jersey and New York, and enter attractive metropolitan areas in five additional states: Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas and Nevada. The combined company would serve banking customers through 3,400 offices in 21 states and Washington, D.C. In addition, Wachovia would gain mortgage lending operations under the World Savings Bank name in 39 states.
Collection Supervisor
In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily production and performance of the collection team to ensure that performance and quality customer service goals are met. You will review work and monitor phone calls of team members to verify adherence to WFS policies/procedures and ensures that customer service objectives are met. In addition, you will analyze queue and process management workflow to ensure RCC’s production/performance goals are met, handle escalated calls from team members, initiate outbound calls when needed and approve/review accounts within the working supervisor queue and other queues as assigned. You will also effectively communicate corporate and department objectives on a regular basis, motivate/create a positive working environment to achieve productivity/performance standards and participate in the panel interviews. Additionally, you will prepare new hire documentation, facilitate associate orientation, draft/administer performance improvement plans as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
Three plus years’ collections experience, including supervisory or lead experience, is required. High school diploma or equivalent certificate is necessary. Previous auto collection experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience desired.
