Legg Mason is currently seeking a Client Service Associate to join the Institutional Funds Department in downtown Baltimore. Candidate will be responsible for:
Developing full competency in either equity portfolios or WAM fixed income portfolios as a specialist
Maintaining working knowledge of all LM Institutional Funds (including investment processes, management and performance)
Proactively building partnerships and rapport with senior client decision makers and consultants
Identifying, anticipating and meeting client needs
Presenting investment results and attribution to clients (including endowments, foundations, pensions and consultants)
Participating in sales meetings where appropriate
Monitoring changes within client organizations to identify opportunities and special needs
50% travel is required
Updating and maintaining CRM database
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have achieved a Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business or related fields and should have achieved or be in the pursuit of achieving an MBA or CFA; have fixed income and/or equity fund experience, or related business experience, relationship management experience; excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; be flexible, adaptive, proactive, self-motivated, and a team player; have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products; be familiar with CRM databases.
A series 6 or 7 license is required.
