Client Interface Group Analyst

The Analyst:This position is for an analyst in the AIS (Fund of Hedge Funds) team within UBS’ Alternative and Quantitative Investment platform based in Stamford who will support the Client Interface Group (primarily made up of members of the investment team.) Reporting to the Investment Team, the role is one of supporting client deliverables. Specifically, the role requires the ability to qualitatively prepare and/or review and disseminate investment content, assist in the preparation of client meetings, monitor deliverables and update critical client information as needed. Ad hoc project work relating to process improvement and ad hoc requests are also critical specifications of this role. Client focus, strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, quantitative skills and data retrieval and analysis are important skills for this work. Working within the investment team, this role offers candidates a great opportunity to grow their exposure to hedge fund strategies and client relationship management while supporting a dynamic business.Duties and Responsibilities: Qualitative and quantitative review of monthly hedge fund performance write-ups. Must be capable of assessing content and getting information ready for client distribution. Update hedge fund overviews (largely qualitative) Monitor/track hedge fund meeting notes to ensure members of CIG are kept informed of updates Support the preparation of portfolio commentaries Prepare monthly and quarterly deliverables to clients and consultants Assist in the development of customized content for client communications from the Investment team within the creative services guidelines. Assist in preparation for client meetings Participate in process improvement projects and contribute innovative ideas to enhance client and consultant reporting and communications Review qualitative responses provided in RFPs and RFIs Maintain AIS client profile database as well as investor and CIG meeting notes Process improvement and ad hoc requests

The successful candidate will be a smart, hard working, proactive, innovative individual who is effective at working both independently as well as collaboratively as part of the team. A strong attention to detail with a proven problem solving ability and ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients is a must. Additionally, it is beneficial to have: Undergraduate degree
2-3 years of experience in capital markets (hedge fund and hedge fund strategy experience a plus)
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Proficient with MS Office and client management software is beneficial
Candidates should be highly motivated, dedicated, energetic, flexible, independent and proactive.
