Check Processors, Encoders, Proofers

Our client, a check processing center located in Westerville, is seeking several qualified candidates to fill a variety of positions both full time and part time.

*Check Proofers
*Encoder Operators,
*Re-entry and Balancing Clerks,
*Sorter Operators
*Check/Statement Preparers

Check Proofer and Encoder Operators duties include: 10-key data entry by touch, taking stacks of checks and keying in the check amounts and banking information into the system and also correctly encoding the checks.

Re-entry and Balancing Clerks duties include: Proofing amount balances to ensure accuracy and figuring out discrepancies.

Sorter Operators duties include: Running the check sorting machine and dispersing stacks of checks to the appropriate departments.

Returns Clerk duties include: Pulling returned checks and establishing the reason for the return, stamping the reason, and then distributing documents to the appropriate departments.

Check/Statement Preparer duties include: Receiving copies of checks and statements via printer and/or fax. Take all copies to cutter to be cut to size. Once all items are cut to size, wrap checks and/or statements with rubber band.

All positions are Temp-to-Hire in 90 days. Many positions are part time!!

Previous Encoding or Proofing experience preferred Banking and/or Accounting backgroundExcellent Organizational skills Detail Accuracy a MUST! Hours will vary depending on the position. The current work hours are as follows:
8:00am-5:00pm or 6:00pm-10:00pm for Re-Entry and Balancing
8:00am-5:00pm or 6:00pm-10:00pm for Sorter Operators
12:00am-8:30am for Check/Statement Preparers
6:00pm-10:00pm for Check Proofers and Encoders
