Call Center - Sr Helpdesk Specialist

The Technology Support Analyst is responsible for resolving technical and mortgage related issues for internal and external clients for Flagstar nationwide. Analysts will work with clients via phone or email to resolve technical and mortgage related issues for all of Flagstar Bank’s divisions.
Additional responsibilities include working with clients to ensure a complete understanding of Flagstar’s technology offerings; working with software developers to identify critical software issues; and provide technical feedback to other IS departments.
REQUIREMENTS
BS or BA degree in Computer Science OR equivalent experience.

1 Year computer experience preferably in a technical support or Call Center role.

Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing.

Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills with an ability to think quickly under pressure.

Strong understanding of MS Windows 9x, 2000 and XP.

Understanding of internet technologies including Internet Explorer and Netscape Communicator.

Preferred Skills

An understanding of the mortgage lending process including Automated Underwriting Systems.

Knowledge of Mortgage Origination Software.

Familiarity with Citrix, Metaframe or NT Terminal Server.

Familiarity with SQL Database Technologies.

Familiarity of networking technologies including firewalls, Proxy Servers, and IP Routing.
