COMMERCIAL/CONSUMER LOAN PROCESSOR / LOAN SERVICING SPECIALIST

Commercial and Consumer Loan Experience Only. Boards new loans and processes renewals from documentation checklists, note and other loan documents. Completes data entry and process appropriate GL entries with corresponding offsets. Data entry will include setting up of Customer, Account, Commitment and Note record on the loan system. Processes initial fundings as requested and account for collection of fees and charges. Sets up and maintains Guarantor records on the loan system as required. Performs all maintenance work relating to loans as required. Balances daily transactions on a recap sheet prior to submitting work to Central Proof for processing. Position may involve research under supervision. Ensures receipt and verification of proper approvals prior to processing waivers and any unusual transactions. Maintains the waiver approval file. Calculates and processes accrual & fee adjustments as required. Processes any other processing or reconcilement work that is assigned. Identifies and resolves any moderate boarding/accounting problems. Determines causes of rejected items, resolves problems and corrects rejects based on established Bank policies.
REQUIREMENTS
•Minimum of 3 years processing/accounting experience processing/boarding complex commercial loans with real estate collateral in a centralized environment of a medium sized bank required.
•Knowledge of participation/syndication loan experience desired.
•Knowledge of loans with optional pricing options (e.g., Libor loans) required.
•Ability to read complex loan agreements to determine appropriate pricing and coding for input to a loan system required.
•Ability to handle heavy volume of transactions and multiple tasks required.
•Good working knowledge of Metavante Loan System required.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
•Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
•Experience with Personal Computers and WordPerfect/Word Program required.
•Ability to operate calculators, encoding, fax and copying machines required.
