CDO Securities Operation Manager

Hours/Schedule: 8:00 AM -- 5:00 PM Description: Management responsibility to oversee all of the day to day operations of Collateralized Debt Obligations (CDO's) including settlement of securities transactions to support the CDO business line activity of our customers or their investment advisors. Responsibilities also include monitoring our and securities positions and balances at the Federal Reserve, DTC and other settling agents. Reconcilement of these positions. Setting up interfaces and providing assistance to administrative and operational areas. Responsible for managing support staff and delegating daily processes.Demonstrates commitment to the company's vision and mission through the application of working principles and practices in meeting the needs of clients and the organization; ensures that any staff members under supervision demonstrate the same commitment.
35% Managing the overall coordination and daily processing of domestic and foreign securities settlements via the Federal Reserve, Depository Trust Company, State Street, and Physical locations for the CDO.

15% Managing the overall coordination and daily processing related to updating the trust accounting system for all types of transactions.

15% Managing the overall coordination and daily processing related to maturities, including the monitoring of incoming wires and the bank's balance at various settlement locations.

10% Responsible for monitoring all Securities trades fails and resolving all compensation claims.

10% Assisting various divisions with operational issues related to settlement of securities trade transactions.

10%Reviewing and making recommendations regarding improved operating systems and procedures.

5% Preparing annual budget and managing expenses within budget.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and/or work experience. 3-5 years of related experience and demonstrated managerial skills. Knowledge of trust accounting, portfolio accounting or CDOSuite or similar CDO software applications.This position requires that the incumbent be highly skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) and be able to rapidly learn new software applications.Manages individual development by providing coaching, feedback, and reinforcement. Effectively delegates tasks or projects. Uses appropriate influence to inspire and guide individuals toward goal achievement. Fosters attitudes, conditions, and environments that yield improved quality and quantity to maximize performance. Provides meeting leadership, management and facilitation.
