The BRC function objectively evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal controls of the business and its Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA) process. It proactively identifies risks and assists management in developing timely and effective means to address those risks. It co-ordinates across various organizational control functions to facilitate an integrated risk and control assessment.



The incumbent will plan and lead scheduled and ad-hoc reviews, consult with line management on RCSA effectiveness to ensure that test design is efficient and effective and covers important risks and key controls as they relate to business objectives. Perform liaison activities with regulatory examination agencies. Determine BRC resource needs to support its plans and budgets, maintain a proactive communication program with BRC Director and Senior Management regarding control requirement and developing issues. Supervisory responsibility includes developing performance plans that define individual performance goals and provides for adequate in-house and external training and certification requirements to advance the Business Risk Consultants.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree with 7-10 years of audit, compliance and business experience. Professional certification (e.g. CPA) a plus. Good exposure to credit risk management. Good understanding of Financial Services Industry, products, related operations processes, accounting, and risk controls. Auto Finance experience is a plus. Good analytical skills to quickly uncover/dimension issues and determine appropriate remedy. Able to understand the big picture as well as get into the detail to recommend practical solutions. Clear and concise communication skills (verbal and written) Strong relationship building skills. Can quickly assimilate into business units' management process to help them proactively identify upcoming issues and recommend corrective action. Able to interact at SVP level across the organization. Can challenge the status quo and expose risks. Able to timely escalate matters to resolve issues effectively. Unquestionable integrity, objectivity, probing inquisitiveness, and the ability to multi task with aggressive timelines. Experience in managing small groups and matrix management
