Review separate company federal tax returns for accuracy and compliance with the federal tax law.
Review the consolidated federal tax return for accuracy and compliance with the federal tax law.
Manage the analysis of the SFAS109 calculation and its impact on the financial statements, footnotes and regulatory documents.
Reviews the analysis of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end tax provisions for the Bank and its subsidiaries for completeness and accuracy.
Manage and interact with the Internal Revenue Service examiners to ensure efficient and accurate completion of audits and inquiries for the Bank and its consolidated affiliates.
Perform federal tax research assignments and undertake federal income tax planning projects in accordance with specific guidelines established by management.REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 7 years of tax experience with a corporate tax department or a large public accounting firm.
Undergraduate degree in Accounting (or a graduate equivalent). M.S. degree in Taxation and CPA certification highly desirable.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Proficient with the Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of advanced applications such as macros and formulas.
Proficient with the applications of Internet based tax research services (preferably RIA and BNA).
