Responsible for developing and servicing relationships with high end small businesses and complex accounts resulting in P&L growth. Typical portfolio consists of approx. 75 - 100 customers.

Serves as a resource for less experienced RMs

Usually works independently with limited direct supervision

Responsible for new commercial client acquisition focused upon deposit (DDA) gathering and loans exceeding $250,000



Prospecting/New Client Acquisition - 20%-30%

Retention/Cross-sell to existing client base - 40%-50%

Administrative (Loan and Product Sales) - 10%-20%

Provides a high level of customer service to business clients and manages their banking relationship

Acquisition of new clients through referrals and by calling on "targeted" prospects and referral sources

Retention of client base through a high level of contact, exceptional service and needs recognition

Consults with clients on products and services

Profiles customers; cross-sells additional products and services to deepen the relationship

Makes referrals to Retail branches and other lines of business when appropriate

Manages P&L associated with the portfolio, including loan grading, loan pricing, pay/return decisioning

Transitions clients to Middle Market when appropriate

The RM supports the branches by making joint calls with the BMs/SBRMs, and by helping the branches with business loan production and deposit growth penetrations.
REQUIREMENTS


Typically 3-4 years commercial or business credit experience

4-6 years RM experience or related business lending experience

Expert knowledge of credit and cash management products and services and deposit products and services

- Sales and product expertise with business clients

- Advanced relationship management, new business development and sales prospecting skills

- Strong understanding of profitability of products

- Strong organizational time management skills

- Strong problem solving skills



Customer focused with good interpersonal skills and communication skills

- Strong ability to grasp concepts and processes

- Ability to partner and influence



Bachelors degree in finance or related field or equivalent work experience
