Business Banking Account Rep II (6453)

Basic Function
Responsible for an assigned portfolio and developing new business of the most complex and or large dollar amount loan and or deposit relationships with the major small businesses within the community.Solicits new business, and administers and services existingbusiness. May have staff of account representatives or customer services representatives.Responsibilities
Service customers seeking loan and or deposit relationships of large dollar amounts and of high complexity with the Bank. Interview applicants to develop information concerning their businesses and requirements. Evaluate credit information and make relationshiprecommendations. Maximize line of business profitability through the maintenance of high quality business relationships, including loan, deposit and fee income portfolios. Follows current high dollar value loans to ensure conformity with terms; maintains current andcomplete credit file. Has credit authority for the largest and most complex portfolio within the department's established limit. Maintain working knowledge of and skills at cross-selling other M&T products and services. Participate in a formal sales process and call programto develop new loan and deposit business. Follow market trends and developments to increase the Bank's business in established and developing markets. Participate in civic and cultural organizations. May oversee a staff of customer service representatives and or account representatives to include supervision of portfolios and credit authority.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent. 7 to 10 years of commercial portfolio management experience, including business development and credit management. Superior track record of high production. Knowledge of personal computers and departmental software.Facility with spreadsheet programs. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal bank employees and external customers, referral sources, civic and cultural organizations. Excellent presentation skills.
