Business Analyst – Capital Markets

Global corporate investment banking group seeks Business Analyst with 5+ years experience (preferably in financial services industry) to join their Investment Banking Strategy and Planning group. This group focuses on driving strategic, (industry, technological) initiatives for Capital Markets.

The Business Analyst will work with global business/operations "partners" (Sales and Trading, Operations, Technology, Credit Risk Management, and Product Controls). Will be responsible for management reporting for global corporate investment banking. The Business Analyst will need to have an understanding of various reporting requirements from a risk and control perspective. Individual will assist in testing, rollout, and support a new reporting system for the division. Perform detailed analysis of processes and workflows for capital markets (i.e.: derivatives, loans and Foreign Exchange operations). Analyze business needs against the best platforms & tools available globally. Assist in creating business requirements, technical specifications, implementation & test plans. Assist in training regional teams on global processes and systems, as part of project implementations. Work with other analysts on the team to ensure that overall project goals are met.
Position requires a business analyst with a minimum of 5 years experience involving process or system enhancements, process improvement, etc. The position calls for a team player having the ability to build consensus, it requires an individual who has strong logic and questioning ability-- a strong ability to learn, retain and apply knowledge. Requires excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. The successful individual will need to have flexibility to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities. Requires strong academic achievements: Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science. Knowledge of MS Access, Business Objects, Crystal Reports, or other reporting tools are a very big plus.
Compensation will include base salary to $65K, plus bonus.
