Develop Higher End Commercial Lending strategy. Conduct moderate level risk analysis, to provide management with consumer credit quality trends, desired risk/return relationships, and actual performance of receivables portfolio in terms of credit risk.
Analyze the quality of the Corporate; Business and Consumer Account portfolio's to protect the bank from losses resulting from poor credit quality and lack of compliance with consumer laws, regulations and bank policy. This may include analysis of front-end operations (loan growth strategies, underwriting decisions, credit quality of new volume, and adherence to credit policies); analysis of back-end operations (delinquency and charge-off performance, collection performance, and adherence to collection policies); or portfolio mix impacts (effects of prepayment rates, securitizations and whole loan sales).
Analyzes delinquency ratios, trends and other negative characteristics, which could adversely affect the portfolio. Will work with Credit Policy, Collections, Finance, Information Technology Management, Marketing, Payment Operations, and Fraud assisting in the development of policy, and processes.
Analyze credit applications, credit bureaus, account behavior, and payment patterns to determine credit worthiness for new acquisitions and portfolio management. Customer interaction where appropriate to develop additional aspects of the profile in order to make the most accurate credit decision.
Conduct cross-functional process improvement business projects. Includes understanding of business requirements, data collection, programming, analysis of data, and reporting results to Senior Mgmt. Participate in strategy / direction setting and ensure business strategy initiative impacts are realized. Process improvement activities will involve participation on cross-functional teams to optimize Credit Policies and Processes. Identify operational policy development and implementation, document strategic business and data requirements, ensure appropriate testing, analyze data, and monitor and track performance metrics, key business measures, economic and industry trends.
REQUIREMENTS
Corporate account lending and policy knowledge and experience
§ Knowledge and understanding of the card business
§ Understanding of P&L financials and value comps
§ Experience in the development and execution of lending strategies
§ Proven ability to build string business relationship with cross functional partners to achieve business objectives
§ Strong communication skills
§ Strong analytical skills
§ PC Skills- Excel, Word- (required), PowerPoint, Visio, Access, (a plus)
§ BA, BS or Masters Degree - Quantitative or Business field preferred
§ 5+ years in lending and business analysis experience.
