Business Analyst

This position is responsible for evaluating the operational risks present at external vendors utilized by the Russell fund complexes and assessing the controls to manage those risks. This individual will work on a team with an existing program for strengthening control environments and maintaining vendor service level standards. The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:Execute due diligence programs to identify operational risks and assess control processes at external vendors (custodian banks, securities lending agents, transfer agents, etc.) supporting the Russell fund complexes. Work with vendors and Russell management to strengthen operational controls related to processing for Russell and its clients.Prepare and communicate summary analyses and conclusions to vendors and Russell management.Monitor service performance of vendors against predetermined standards, and resolve negative performance trends when needed.Manage content and updates to service level agreements with vendors.Lead service review meetings between vendors and Russell stakeholders to review recent performance results and execute strategic planning.Contribute to the ongoing development of the Vendor Oversight Program.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; preference for a CPA.3-5 years experience in risk management/public accounting/internal audit.Knowledge of auditing practices and procedures.Ability to anticipate potential operational problems.Excellent writing and documentation skills.Assertive, self-motivated, self-directed team player.Relationship management and consultative skills ' able to communicate effectively with all levels within an organization (staff support level to senior management).
