Based in Purchase, New York (20 miles north of New York City) the Banking and Lending group is responsible for some of the most significant revenue opportunities in Morgan Stanley’s Global Wealth Management business. The group is responsible for developing, launching and managing innovative bank and lending products tailored towards high net worth individuals and businesses. This position is located within the small to middle market business banking group. Typical job responsibilities include:

Become an expert on the group’s cash management products and services

Candidate must be able to function independently, taking the lead on small projects and participating on larger ones. This involves coordinating cross-functional teams with representatives from IT, operations, legal, compliance, marketing, treasury and occasionally outside vendors

Perform bank analysis comparisons for national sales team

Support Financial Advisor efforts in selling cash management products by answering inquiries about the products and assisting on prospecting calls

Assist with marketing-related activities including production of collateral materials and letters, maintaining internal and client-facing websites and coordinating new product launch communications (some writing required)

Working with Financial Advisors and operations to handle ongoing account maintenance issues

Perform competitive analysis and monitor competition for new enhancements

Metrics trackingSkills Required

4-5 years financial services experience (with a retail brokerage firm, private bank or retail bank)

1-2 years in banking/commercial banking, preferably with some online banking experience

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, demonstrate initiative and work well in a fast paced environment

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
