Branch Sales Manager- Bexley, OH office

A Branch Sales Manager (BSM) demonstrates leadership proficiency in sales, service, operations and management. The BSM is responsible for consistently meeting or exceeding branch sales performance standards. Manages and motivates staff consistently and fairly.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

•Develops a sales environment through creative and promotional activities.

•Makes outside and Business Development calls to include supporting Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) through business development efforts and activities.

•Refers first mortgage loan business to assigned Mortgage Loan Consultant.

•Performs first mortgage closing activities.

Coaches the branch staff to achieve sales excellence in sales production, product knowledge, customer service, and branch operations to meet or exceed Minimum Performance Standards.

•Leads the branch by setting a positive example in telemarketing efforts, cross-selling and sales campaigns.

•Demonstrates commitment to consistently deliver positive customer service to achieve customer retention.

•Demonstrates the core leadership competencies of character, personal capabilities, focus on results, interpersonal skills, and leading change, intended to attract, motivate, develop, and retain high performing employees.

•Represents the Bank in the community.

•Manages the cost effectiveness of the branch; maximizes profitability.

•Manages branch staff including hiring, performance management, and training and development.

•Establishes professional networks by building a referral base and providing resources to “centers of influence” on industry trends and bank products.

•Ensures customer services are provided, including opening new accounts, taking and processing home equity loans, providing customers with information, and resolving banking problems.

•Initiates, completes, and maintains customer profiles.

•Supports customer on-boarding process through follow-up.

•Maintains the order and appearance at the highest professional level of the Branch office property and equipment.

•Participates in training programs as required or recommended by management.

•As applicable, in the absence of a CSM, performs the following:
•Manages the operations of the branch.
•Ensures compliance with established internal operational standards and government regulations to successfully pass the branch internal audit.
•Ensures completion, and as needed, assists CSS in the completion of the Branch Operations Checklist.

•Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and experience:
•Bachelor’s degree with concentration in business administration, finance or related field and/or equivalent sales management experience in a financial services environment.

•Prior branch management experience (reference Experience and Skills Guideline Chart).

•Proven record of sales success in loan production and bank product sales.

•Successful completion of the Bank’s Platform, HELOC (which includes first mortgage referrals and closing), IRA training/certification programs prior to internal appointment. If external, Platform, IRA, HELOC, training/certification must be completed within 90 days of hire.

•Notary Public designation required.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

•Comprehensive knowledge of bank regulations, products and services, and related branch operations.

•Strong sales and customer service skills with the ability to deal with the public enthusiastically and professionally while maintaining confidentiality.

•Ability to achieve results through managing, motivating and coaching staff in sales and service efforts.

•Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and mortgage systems.

•Professional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

•Ability to travel frequently to local off-site meetings and in order to call on customers in assigned community.

•Ability to consistently meet or exceed branch goals.

•Ability to apply core leadership competencies.
