Branch Representative 1

SUMMARY OF POSITION
This position is responsible for all member service functions on the platform of a traditional branch to include opening new member accounts and account servicing functions
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS Promotes and cross-sells Credit Union services and products to new and existing members. Assists members by researching, answering and resolving account or transaction inquires and problems.
Verifies member identification and eligibility; assigns account numbers, completes appropriate forms and/or assures accuracy and completion of documents, deposits initial funds into accounts.
Processes account transactions and fund transfers; wires funds to other financial institutions.
Assists in the daily branch operations by updating computer databases, operating encoding machines, preparing Visa or MasterCard advances, and processing safe deposit rental and access.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
Minimum two years experience in a combination of loan processing and customer service in a financial institution. Effective sales and service techniques. Good working knowledge of loan processing procedures, documentation and disclosure regulations, interest rate calculation formulas and automated computer systems. High school diploma or general education (GED). Ability to read and interpret documents such as the Product & Services Manual, etc. (safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions) and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with members or employees of the organization. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commission, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
