Imperial Capital Bank, a dynamic, FDIC-Insured financial institution, has an immediate opening for a Branch Operations Specialist in Costa Mesa CA!OVERVIEW/SUMMARYUnder supervision, controls branch operational functions and responsibilities for the bank office. Ensures that the branch conforms to uniform policies and procedures.RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES•Open and process Night Deposits
•Process Exceptions (Non-posts, overdrafts and stop payments)
•Dormant/Inactive processing
•Large Item review
•General Ledger review
•New Account callback
•Reg CC callback
•Stop payment callback
•ATM balancing and deposit processing
•Place branch and ATM cash shipments in/out
•Responsible for balancing cash drawer assigned to associate
•Monthly Branch Certifications
•Responsible for implementing operational procedures
•Assist in branch training
•Branch compliance (signage, disclosures, security)
•Meet assigned sales goals•Provide customer service•Back-up New Accounts
•Recommend changes/improvements to Banking Ops procedures.
•Serve as “Acting Branch Manager” when Branch Manager – Retail Banking is out of the office. As such, ensure that the Branch is fully operational and that all customer inquiries are handled professionally and accurately.This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this associate. REQUIREMENTS
Standards of Performance: Minimum of 3-5 years experience in branch operations. Bachelor degree preferred, but not required.
Education & Experience Required: Familiarity with regulatory compliance issues. Good written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of computers including word and spread sheets. Competency in basic math skills. Knowledge of general ledger balancing, preferred. Metavante experience desired, but not required. Signing Authority Level II
