Bankcard Bill Pay Associates

This person is responsible for performing various duties required for the daily control and processing of all bank card transactions and bill pay transactions. The transactions will include, but not limited to, opening/closing accounts, deposits, withdrawals, adjustments, and returns. Process card requests, such as issuance, reissue, cancellation and hot card. Research to resolve account, transaction and card issues in a timely fashion is mandatory. Assisting with the reconcilement of the daily reports, including ACH incoming and outgoing files is mandatory. Daily interaction with internal departments and third party processors in order to maintain accurate reconcilement of account and card status, transactions and general ledger accounts is mandatory. Liaison with third party vendor to handle cardholder disputes
REQUIREMENTS
1 to 3 years experience in basic accounting or settlement/reconcilement functions in a financial industry directly related to bank card processing. Minimum of 1 year experience, preferably 2 years in an electronic commerce environment. Experience with Regulation E and Z is preferred

A post secondary education preferably in Business Administration, Finance or Commerce. Banking Institute courses an asset and computer literate.
Thorough understanding of banking and core deposit and loan products, banking systems, and electronic technologies including bank card processing. Knowledge of basic accountingdebits/credits/general ledger.
Oral and written communications skills needed. Attention to detail and deadlines are very important.

Overtime may be required. Time sensitive processing to meet daily cut offs.
