Senior AccountantOur client is a leading Hotel Corporation

As the Senior Account you will be responsible for preparation of financial data, analysis and reporting for this NYC based Hotel Corporation.
Major Duties and Responsibilities will include:
Respond to guest inquiries and provide support for hotel’s staff in providing financial information
Perform bank reconciliationCheck and prepare all exchange accounts for paymentsVerify all bank deposits and front desk cash transactions
Monitor guest ledger high balances and bill commercial and long term guests
Prepare filing of sales and occupancy tax and make direct or “promptax” payments
Monthly visits to hotels to audit house cash banks
Produce monthly revenue reports
Research information for variance reports
Work with accounting manager in the production of the Profit and Loss statements and Balance Sheet reconciliationEnsure procedural guidelines and policies are followed throughout
Prepare payroll spreadsheets for transfer to Solomon system
Audit Spa daily activities and work with the monthly reporting of its financial performance
Be able to perform any other work in the absence of other team members.
Assist accounting manager with all responsibilities
Assist with audits
Responsible for getting approval of utility invoices and prepare utility charts
Base Salary from $45,000 to $55,000Ref: 1142527
REQUIREMENTS
Technical Skill Requirements and Qualifications will include:Strong Accounting knowledge, able to manage all intricacies of G/L and P/L transactions.Knowledge of A/P, A/R
Knowledge of tax regulations
Working knowledge of Solomon, CLS, Excel, Word Other
A hospitality oriented professional
A minimum of 3 years experience in Hotel Accounting
Bachelor’s degree
