Full Job Title: BMD National Team Sensor Analyst ¿ CCM Skills Management Title Systems EngineeringJob Level: EXEMPTBusiness Component: Integrated Defense Systems (IDS)Job Description: As a member of the National Team, responsible for executing analysis tasks associated with defining current and future capability and performing integration of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). Performs analysis for projects intended to quantify BMDS level sensor performance with and without countermeasures and to assess the potential effectiveness of various sensor system concepts in the presence of countermeasures. Conducts technical architecture analyses of current and projected system level sensor capabilities with emphasis on the impact of countermeasures on system performance. Performs detailed analysis of missile defense sensor elements and components and integrates the results into higher level system-of-system analyses. Requires minimal additional external supervision. Competencies REQUIRED: Should have strong technical background in sensor technology, particularly RADAR and Infrared (IR) sensors. Experience with the development of analytical tools, current experience in numerical modeling of complex systems. System of system architecture and requirements development experience. PREFERRED: Experience designing, evaluating, and managing analysis tasks. Strong coordination and communication abilities. Experience or working knowledge of ballistic missile defense sensors and countermeasures. Experience with physics of low earth orbits and with complex probability calculations.
