Auditor

Internal Audit position availiable for a domestic bank located on Brickell Avenue we are looking for someone to join this team in building a best practices audit team with significant support and resources dedicated to automated queries, testing and data analysis. We work in a highly empowered work environment with audit managers very involved in planning and generating ideas for improvement.
We are focused on mentoring of all professional staff, and are in the process of implementing a self-assessment process to facilitate this; it is meant not only to provide us with a clear view of available skills, but also to assist our team in clearly articulating their career desires and the skills that they would like to strengthen. The environment here, while very challenging from a professional standpoint, is also one where work/life balance is important.

Promote sound risk management practices with business partners.

Assist in the development and execution of technology based audit strategy.

Supervise activities of assigned audit teams on audits, change initiatives, or confidential investigations.

Build a successful relationship with business managers and business owners to discuss risk-based issues, monitor status of identified Findings, and influence management actions.

Conduct risk-based project reviews, special projects, and continuous monitoring.

Prepare formal reports and communicate results to management.

Provide on-the-job training to others in the department.
A successful candidate will have:

Minimum 3 years experience in internal audit banking preferred.


Should be a self-starter and able to effectively multi-task and manage in a dynamic
and fast-paced environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent overall communication skills.

Solid knowledge of government regulations and compliance.

Ability to identify, develop and recommend best practices.

Strong risk-based knowledge.
The ideal candidate may also possess:

A background in automation tools.

Financial institution or banking background.
