Assistant Manager, Special Loan ServicingThis position oversees all functions required to ensure accurate and timely servicing of the special loan portfolio. Responsible for training, supervising and monitoring team leaders and staff to ensure that department, work quality and business conduct standards are adhered to. Key functions include writing job descriptions, evaluating performance, disciplining, motivating, tracking attendance and handling all personnel issues for subordinates.Requires an AA degree in Business, Finance or other related field and 4+ years experience in mortgage/banking or other related field dealing with direct customer service, loans or collections, along with 3-4 years in a supervisory role. 2-4 years of direct experience in all facets of Special Loan Servicing department operations is preferred. Completion of Countrywide Home Loans Team Leader Certification program is a plus. Knowledge of all aspects of general loan servicing functions is preferred, as is familiarity with customer service issues related to servicing special loans and a thorough understanding of special loan products. The team player we seek will be able to recommend staffing needs and budget allocations. Candidate should be organized, self-motivated, detail oriented and able to multitask. Requires effective comprehension, listening, negotiation, presentation, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills, along with proficiency in the use of Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, Access and PowerPoint. Must also be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, while meeting established deadlines within approved budgets.
