Assistant Regional Controller

United Subcontractors, Inc. a national leading provider of construction sub-contracting services is looking for an Assistant to the Regional Controller for the Northwest Region, which will be based in Redmond, WA.

The selected candidate must meet the Regional Controller position requirements since the current Regional Controller is expected to move to the operational side of the business in the near future, making the preferred candidate the ideal successor for the Regional Controller position.

JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial and accounting support and leadership to the NW Region. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Facilitate accurate and timely financial reporting from the Branches to the Region and to Corporate
Assist in ensuring adequate internal controls are in place in all the branches
Assist in ensuring that Branches are utilizing the IT systems efficiently and effectively
Assist with the implementation of IT systems
Assist in the integration of newly-acquired businesses and operations into USI
Provide finance and accounting support to the Regional Controller and Regional Manager
Assess the performance of Branch Controllers and take corrective actions to improve performance, when necessary
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, CPA preferred
Minimum of 7 years of accounting and finance experience
Must have excellent organizational and people skills
Strong analytical skills and good decision making ability
Must be able to travel 30%
Advanced PC skills, including Microsoft Office. Navision Financials experience a plus.
Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley a plus.
